Steering Committee applications now open

As we prepare for SEAT Charlotte 2026, I want to take a moment to express something important before we open our Call for Steering Committee Members.

First, to the incredible individuals who served on our Steering Committees over the past few years:

Thank you.

Your insight, your time, your honesty, and your willingness to help shape SEAT as it returned and grew again under my stewardship has meant more than I can fully express. You helped guide the content, championed the community, and played a major role in bringing SEAT back to life. I’m deeply grateful for your service and your support.

With that said, one of the things I value most is giving everyone in this community the opportunity to participate and to have their voice heard. SEAT is at its best when many perspectives come together — from teams, universities, venues, and across every role in our industry.

So this year, we’re opening steering committee submissions to the entire SEAT community.

If you want to help shape the content for Charlotte, if you have ideas for new conversations, or if you simply feel called to contribute in a deeper way, I’d love for you to apply.

A Note for Past Steering Committee Members

Just because you’ve served before does not mean you won’t be selected again.

If you’re still passionate about contributing, please apply. Your experience and voice are valued. This process simply ensures that every member of our community has a chance to put their hand up.

  • Final selections will help shape content, themes, and conversations for SEAT Charlotte, June 28–30, 2026
